Were hiring: Senior Accountant (Compilation + Tax + Client Accounting) | Padgett Halifax Padgett Halifax is growing, and were looking for a Senior Accountant who can own files , coach junior staff , and jump between client accounting, compilations, and tax without losing the plot. What youll do Lead compilation engagements for small business / owner-managed clients Prepare and/or review T1, T2, T3 returns Support month-end / year-end client accounting : reconciliations, clean-up, adjusting entries, and file-ready working papers Review bookkeeping outputs (QBO/Xero), spot issues fast, and help the team fix them Review working papers, guide junior staff, and keep managers updated on progress and risks Prepare financial statements (and notes) that are accurate, clear, and ready for client use What you bring 35+ years public practice experience (compilation + tax) Comfortable assisting with bookkeeping/client accounting in a small office environment Experience mentoring junior staff and managing deliverables Tools: Caseware, TaxPrep, DT Max, QBO, Xero , and Karbon (assets) Why Padgett Real ownership, lots of variety, and a team that values quality, responsiveness, and practical solutions for small business clients.
