Qualifications and Requirements Certified Teachers Educational Assistant Diploma or Educational Support Diploma from an accredited postsecondary institution Developmental Service Worker (DSW) from an accredited postsecondary institution Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from an accredited postsecondary institution Social Services Diploma (SSW) from an accredited postsecondary institution Postsecondary degree in Sociology from an accredited postsecondary institution AND a MINIMUM of one (1) year (1,224) hours of related work experience preferably directly supporting special needs children. In lieu of relevant related work experience, the Board may consider significant relevant volunteer experience Minimum six month diploma from an accredited postsecondary institution in a childrelated discipline AND a MINIMUM of one (1) year (1,224) hours of related work experience preferably directly supporting special needs children.
