Position Overview As a Group Account Director , you will be a senior leader responsible for overseeing a portfolio of key pharmaceutical accounts, driving client success, and fostering strategic partnerships. This role requires exceptional client relationship management, strong business acumen, and proven leadership to manage account teams, ensure operational excellence, and identify new growth opportunities while contributing to the agency''''s strategic direction and financial health. Key Responsibilities Client Management: Develop a deep understanding of the strategic and tactical needs of each brand under responsibility and participate in the development of strategic and tactical brand plans with the Account teams. Develop and maintain long-term partnerships with both the brand team and senior management. Account Team Leadership: Provide leadership by anticipating opportunities and roadblocks to optimize team performance. Act as a role model and coach to account directors and other direct reports. Ensure projects are managed smoothly and promote cross-fertilization of best practices within the Client Services group. Key Internal Leader and Partner: Monitor project and program performance, act as a change manager to optimize processes, manage processes through internal teams, clients, and suppliers, ensure client mandates are carried out, and provide clear information to internal resources involved in projects. What You Will Need Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline 10 to 15 years of pharma agency experience 5 years of experience as account director including management of major accounts Experience in building and managing teams including coaching and mentoring Proficiency and understanding of operations including the Tank process Excellent knowledge of trends in the communication and marketing industries Strong strategic ability, business acumen, and financial literacy Great communication and persuasion skills Self-starter with ability to work autonomously Inspirational leadership and ability to propose effective solutions and make decisions Emotional intelligence and ability to build trust relationships Ability to work under tight timelines in fast-paced environments Desire to contribute to business growth; planning and organizational skills What We Have to Offer Challenging Work: Solve complex problems and innovate, with opportunities to bring your best ideas forward. The base salary range for this position at the time of posting is $90,000 CAD to $140,000 CAD. Individual compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications.
