This role will be homebased,and we are looking for adjusters in the GTA and Calgary/Red Deer/Edmonton area . What you''ll do Completes on site and/or virtual inspections of commercial claims Investigate and negotiate various Commercial Property Claimsin accordance withAviva''s claim procedures and guidelines. Reconcile andvalidatevendor estimates to ensure price and scope is appropriate Investigate by meeting with insureds, third parties, witnesses and lawyersin ororder to obtain facts and information. Review facts, policy, technical reports, firemarshallreports, case law, and make decisions on coverage, value of the claim and negotiate/settle the claim accordingly Stand as an expert andprovidein-depth commercial claims guidance/advice to customers,peersand other stakeholders Responsible for data accuracy and the issuance of payments to vendors,insuredsand experts. Responsible for reviewing lease agreements to assess the insured''s contractual obligations anddeterminetheir interest in damages and repairs Effectivelyadviseand counsel customers on claim status, provide prompt and exemplary customer service and while keeping related parties informed of theclaimsstatus. Responsible to ensure all correspondence is completed in a time efficient/effective manner including the creation of Critical Path, Proof of Loss and reservation of rights letters etc. Responsible for recognizing questionable claims,subrogationand risk opportunities. Correspond with third parties, lawyers, insureds, brokers, underwriting teamand individuals or companies who have an interest in the claim settlement. What you''ll bring 2+years experienceas a Field adjuster handling Commercial lines claims Minimum of 1 Year experience handling first-party commercial claims including but limited to building owner/tenant, businessincome,stock, cargo, builder''s risk,crimeand equipmentclaimsfor a wide variety of industries A customer focused mindset with a strong commitment to deliveringtimely, fair, and professional claims service. CIP or FCIP and other industry designations preferred. Must be willing to pursue CIP for provincial licensing. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to support customer demand High levelof comfort dealing directly with key commercial clients and brokers on all claim related issues and otherassistanceasrequired Computerproficiency; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Guidewire High levelof prioritization and organization skills Think critically and coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure you receive the best outcomes. You are hardworking and a self-motivated problem-solver Excellent oral and written communication skills.
