Job SummaryThe part-time Arena Screener will be assigned to the Bell Sensplex (Ottawa West), Richcraft Sensplex (Ottawa East) and/or Cavanagh Sensplex (Ottawa North-West) arena entrance and is responsible for conducting symptoms screening and vaccination verification for all employees, program participants and visitors prior to entering the arena. The Screener will follow specific documented procedures while maintaining strict confidentiality.Main ResponsibilitiesOngoingGreet employees, program participants and visitors at the designated entranceEnsure all employees, program participants and visitors entering the arena follow proper precautionary measures and wear appropriate personal protective equipmentUtilize the screening tools provided to assess eligibility for entrance, including screening for signs and symptomsAdhere to all Public health safety measuresLogs incidentsAnswers questions and deals with customers concerns in a professional mannerOther duties as assigned by the Coordinator, Programs Staffing and ProtocolsHealth & Safety Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesResponsible for ensuring that all areas covered by Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) are adhered to, specifically:Working in compliance with the provisions of the OHSA, regulations and internal policies and proceduresUsing or wearing protective equipment, devices or clothing when requiredReporting any missing or defective equipment or protective device which could endanger himself or herself or another team memberReporting any contravention of the OHSA, regulations or Senators Sports & Entertainment policies and proceduresTrainingResponsible for completing on-line training modules including, but not limited to:Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability (AODA)AODA, the Integrated Accessibility StandardBack & Lifting Safety TrainingWorkplace Hazardous Materials Information SystemViolence and Harassment in the WorkplaceMay also be required to attend on-site training sessions as scheduled (eg. customer service).Job RequirementsExcellent communication skills (written and oral)Please reference Arena Screener and location you are applying for in the subject line.START DATE: 09/27/2021 #J-18808-Ljbffr
