The Key Account Manager Rare Blood Disorders role is a field-based position. The KAM must be adept at navigating and quickly developing valuebased relationships across disciplines within hemophilia treatment centers (HTCs), including hematologists, clinic directors, clinic nurses, physiotherapists and other HTC staff involved in patient care and ensure crossfunctional resources are made available as appropriate to facilitate the use of relevant Sanofi products. In this role, you will work closely with Marketing, Medical, Sales, Patient Support, and other Head Office colleagues. As part of this role, you will also be responsible for scientific exchange of assigned Sanofi products as they relate to specialists involved in the treatment of hemophilia. Our ideal candidate is highly motivated with a proven record in sales particularly within the rare disease or hemophilia setting, with superior business acumen, effective management of resources and ability to achieve or surpass corporate goals and sales objectives. Main Responsibilities Effectively and ethically promote assigned Sanofi therapies to targeted healthcare professionals and relevant stakeholders at hemophilia treatment centers. Achieve sales objectives and profitably manage territory budget/expenses. Develop and implement annual territory business plan based on market data and marketing plans. Ensure continuous followup and update the plan in response to changing market dynamics. Play a key role in enabling the understanding of the potential role of Sanofi products in the optimization of hemophilia treatment. Provide inservice training on product administration for healthcare teams who lack experience in infusing Sanofi products. Work with relevant community and academicbased specialists to facilitate peertopeer sharing of optimal treatment algorithms. Develop territory database for all targeted customers and accounts to be used locally and nationally. Identify, profile, cultivate and maintain customer relationships. Build advocacy within assigned territory. Implement regional OLA (Other Learning Activity) and other learning programs. Perform all required administrative duties. This includes all expense reports, marketing reports, and call reporting. Work within the Sanofi regulatory and legal compliance guidelines. Attend local, regional and national meetings as directed. Successfully complete all training programs provided by Sanofi. Maintain in good order all company property. Be willing and able to travel (nationally and internationally) approximately >50% of the time. Evening and weekend work will be required. About You Qualifications Bachelors degree or equivalent. 3+ years sales representative experience in the specialty pharmaceutical industry preferred, or 2+ years experience in specialty marketing. Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to achieve superior sales results. Leads by example and demonstrates high level of collaboration with internal and external counterparts. Effectively develops and executes sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in assigned sales territories. Demonstrated solutionoriented approach to selling and ability to articulate value propositions appropriate to each level of contact. Exhibits superior persuasion and negotiation skills to win commitment. Possess excellent technical aptitude and the ability to conduct disease/con selling. Understanding of local managed markets (public and private) and institutional/hospital environments. Demonstrate superb written, verbal and presentation skills. Possess excellent planning and organizational skills. Ability to work independently to execute against strategic and tactical plans under tight timelines.
