Description We are currently seeking Truck & Trailer Technicians to join our team at our brand-new Speed Bay facility in Saint John, NB. Responsibilities As a Truck & Trailer Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, reliability and performance of Sunbury''s fleet. Responsibilities include: Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on trucks and trailers Diagnosing mechanical concerns and confirming findings with the supervisor Reviewing and completing work orders accurately and efficiently Road testing motor vehicles and testing automotive systems and components Adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts and components of truck/trailer systems Repairing or replacing mechanical units and components to manufacturer specifications Completing detailed reports to document work performed and issues identified Maintaining a clean, safe workspace in accordance with 5S standards Working collaboratively with technicians and apprentices Following established processes for core and warranty management Adhering to Sunbury''s safety policies, procedures, and shop standards Responsible for completing MVIs in accordance with NB Guidelines Qualifications Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Truck and Transport Mechanic Certification (minimum Level 1 Apprentice) Strong understanding of safety procedures and shop processes Working knowledge of tools and equipment used in truck and trailer maintenance Basic truck and trailer maintenance skills and mechanical aptitude Preferred Qualifications 24 years of experience in truck and trailer maintenance Experience with troubleshooting and diagnostics Strong parts identification knowledge Freightliner / Detroit Diesel training considered an asset Red Seal designation Welding experience considered an asset
