Western Community College invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates to teach the Health Care Assistant Program (Practical), for evening shifts (Mon - Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM). The Clinical Instructor will be responsible for taking the students on Multi Level/complex Care Practicum. The instructor will be involved in teaching clinical skills to students and their evaluation of clinical skills. Required Qualification Licensure: Current unrestricted registration as an LPN, RN, or RPN with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Teaching Competency: Demonstrated ability to teach adult learners (e.g., Provincial Instructor Diploma or equivalent, or prior teaching experience with satisfactory references or evaluations). Clinical Experience: At least two years of full-time Canadian nursing experience (1 year = 1400 hours). Experience working with older adults with complex health needs. Experience or orientation in home support and multi-level/complex care. Cultural Safety Training: Evidence of completion of Indigenous cultural safety and humility coursework (e.g., San''yas training or equivalent). BC HCA Practice Course: Evidence of completion of the Health Care Assistant Practice in BC course (available via the Learning Hub). Experience Three to five years of recent and relevant practice experience (equivalent to full-time hours per year).
