Meadow Park Chatham is a fully accredited long term care home in Chatham, Ontario and serves 99 residents. Chatham is the urban centre of Chatham-Kent, a large municipality in Southwestern Ontario located between Windsor (approximately 80 km to the west) and London (approximately 115 km to the east). It is known for its fertile farmland, a diverse economy of manufacturing and agriculture, and rich history, including its role in the Underground Railroad. Join our team as a Registered Nurse Under the direction of the Director of Care, the Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for providing and ensuring the provision of optimum care to promote the well-being of each individual resident. The Registered Nurse ensures and provides the delivery of nursing services to meet the assessed needs of the residents. The key areas of responsibility include: Clinical Practice & Resident Care (assessment, intervention, care coordination, documentation, and wellness), Unit Management & Accountability (operations, staff supervision, resource use), Collaboration & Communication (internal and external coordination, orientation), Quality, Policy, and Education (CQI, risk management, professional development), Staff Management (evaluation, discipline), Organizational Values & Customer Service, and Health and Safety (safe practices, hazard reporting, OHSA compliance). We are looking for the following qualifications and traits: Candidates must possess a current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. O. Reg. 246/22, s. 51 Experience in a Long-Term Care (Gerontology) setting is an asset Performs care planning and coordination of care in a diverse multidisciplinary care team A demonstrated use of current care technology. Shall exhibit strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education, training, and professional development Must ensure all MOH and MLTC requirements are met.
