What You''ll Actually Be Doing Owning the Numbers: Take full charge of our month-end close, financial reporting, and the annual audit. You''ll make sure everything is accurate and, more importantly, understandable for the rest of the team. Guiding the Team: You''ll lead and mentor our accounting staff (A/P, A/R, and Payroll), making sure they have what they need to succeed while keeping operations running smoothly. Strategic Planning: You won''t just report on the past; you''ll help us build the future. You will lead our budgeting and forecasting processes, providing the insights we need to make smart decisions. Fixing Processes: We''re always looking to do things better. You''ll spot where our financial systems or workflows are clunky and find practical ways to fix or automate them. Business Partnership & Pricing Strategy: Work closely with department heads (Sales, Production, Maintenance, Logistics and Quality) to provide financial insights that guide business decisions, including: Cost Analysis: Provide detailed analysis of production and overhead costs to establish a price ''floor'' and ensure prices cover expenses and generate target margins. Profitability Insight: Analyze customer and product profitability data to help sales teams focus on high-value accounts and structure deals effectively. Scenario Modeling: Use financial modeling to project the impact of potential price changes or discount structures on sales volumes and overall profitability. Price Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) like average discounts and win/loss ratios to indicate when market conditions are shifting and pricing adjustments may be needed. Cash Management: Keep a close eye on our cash flow and working capital to ensure we''re always on solid footing as we scale. What We''re Looking For The Basics: A Bachelor''s degree in Finance or Accounting and a professional designation (like a CPA or CFA) is preferred. Experience: You have 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, ideally with some time spent in a mid-sized environment where you had to be a generalist. Tech Savvy: You''re an Excel pro and have experience working with ERP systems (like NetSuite or Sage). Problem Solver: You don''t just flag issues; you come to the table with solutions.
