Senior Environmental Project Coordinator EcoCan Environmental Locations: Fort St. John (BC), Whitehorse (YT), Yellowknife (NT) Work Model: Remote/Hybrid (field presence required as needed) Role Overview EcoCan is seeking a Senior Environmental Project Coordinator to lead and execute environmental projects with a primary focus on reclamation and remediation within the mining, oil and gas sector. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and manage environmental projects with a strong emphasis on First Nation engagement Lead and support reclamation and remediation programs Plan and execute Phase II and Phase III Environmental Site Assessments Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, directives, and SOPs Liaise with clients, regulators, contractors, and Indigenous partners Support field execution, reporting, scheduling, and regulatory compliance Apply and interpret oil and gas regulatory requirements across BC, Yukon, and the NWT Qualifications & Experience Bachelor''s Degree or Diploma in Environmental Science, Reclamation, or a related discipline Consulting experience in the oil and gas sector (required) Demonstrated experience in reclamation and remediation 5+ years of relevant environmental experience (exceptional candidates with slightly less experience may be considered) Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks in BC, Yukon, and NWT Valid Class 5 driver''s license Ability to work independently in remote and northern environments What We''re Looking For Proven experience working with First Nation communities and partners A professional who can execute projects, not just coordinate them Someone comfortable with accountability, field realities, and decision-making Why EcoCan Meaningful environmental work with real-world impact Strong Indigenous partnership focus Flexible remote/hybrid work model Opportunity to shape and lead projects, not just follow procedures Job Types: Full-time, Freelance Pay: $90,000.00-$130,000.00 per year Benefits: Profit sharing Tuition reimbursement Work Location: Hybrid remote in Calgary, AB T2G 1H7
