Brockville Yacht Club | Server/Bartender Job Description Join us on the beautiful banks of the St. Lawrence River in historic Brockville Brockville Yacht Club (BYC) takes pride in providing high-quality service to our members and guests in a welcoming environment. We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional individual to join our team for the 2026 season. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, thrives in a collaborative team environment and takes pride in the work they do. Position Overview You will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages while also taking orders and delivering meals to members and guests in the service areas in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner; while also maintaining a clean working environment. The BYC also holds both private and rented larger events for its members and guests. Key Responsibilities Open and close the bar area as scheduled according to proper procedures Ensure all chits are accurately charged throughout service Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards according to HPPA Manage stocking and inventory Collaborate with bar, kitchen and service staff to support club operations Adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment Be attentive to members'' needs, circulate the room and respond quickly Skills & Attributes Reliability and punctuality Experience working in a fast-paced environment, ability to stay calm, focused and prioritize Knowledge of mixed drinks, wines and brews Ability to accurately take both food and drink orders and place them in the POS system Strong communication skills and a positive team-focused attitude Ability to multitask and adjust as needed during service Understanding of inventory control and food handling best practices Qualifications At least 18 years of age Valid Smart Serve certification Safe food handling certification considered an asset Secondary schooling diploma preferred Flexibility to work lunch hours, varied shifts, and occasional weekend/evening events Employment Details Season: Approximately May 2026 November 2026 Compensation: $17.60 plus tips How to Apply Please forward your resume to: Morgan McCrady, Club Coordinator Brockville Yacht Club Job Types: Part-time, Temporary Contract length: 7 months Pay: $17.60-$18.60 per hour Expected hours: 30 45 per week Work Location: In person
