Job Description

Position Scope Working closely with each client, the Case Manager determines whether they would benefit from employment support services by assessing their employment and career needs. They collaborate with clients to develop a Return to Work Action Plan (RTWAP) that outlines specific goals along with the strategies and steps required to achieve them. Case management support is delivered by coordinating service options that are timely, appropriate, and aligned with each client''s needs and goals. Those who provide individualized case management ensure accountability by organizing and overseeing service delivery that is wellcoordinated and focused on achieving the client''s desired outcomes. They are skilled in defining and managing career and personal development goals and transitions, with a strong understanding of counselling assessment processes, tools, and resources. The ideal candidate is clientfocused, works from a strengthsbased perspective, and is genuinely passionate about supporting the career development journey The Case Manager role will be providing services to different locations throughout Lunenburg and Queens County. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct assessments and provide guidance on job search strategies, rsum development, and skillsbuilding workshops, as well as offer individualized job coaching. Stay informed about labour market trends, training opportunities, and industry needs to ensure clients receive current and relevant advice. Identify each client''s strengths and employment barriers; and develop a ReturntoWork Action Plan (RTWAP) to address those barriers effectively. Participate in Nova Scotia Works system discussions and working groups to support continuous service quality and innovation. Maintain an uptodate client list within the NSW Digital Channel. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Personal Attributes: Strong communication, interpersonal, and clientservice skills. Solid knowledge of community organizations and referral resources available to job seekers. Commitment to inclusive practice, ethical decisionmaking, respect for diversity, and confidentiality. Proficiency with laptops, cell phones, and tablets, along with the ability to use them confidently for research, communication, and virtual service delivery. Strong understanding of Labour Market Information (LMI) and how to apply it in client support. Ability to build collaborative relationships with other Career Practitioners and EmployerFocused roles to support positive outcomes for Nova Scotia Works clients. Ability to define and guide career and personal development goals and transitions. Qualifications Education: Bachelor''s degree in the Human Services or another relevant field. An combination of training, education and experience may also be considered. Acceptable equivalencies may include, but are not limited to: A completed related 2-year diploma plus two (2) years of relevant experience. Five (5) years of directly related experience. *Applicants relying on equivalencies must clearly demonstrate how their background meets these requirements in their application. CCDP certification preferred or willingness to achieve with supports Note: Successful candidates who do not already hold a Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP) designation, will be expected to complete the certification while employed.
