This hybrid role involves coordinating daily freight dispatch operations and driving sales by developing and maintaining customer relationships. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Key ResponsibilitiesDispatch Duties: Coordinate and schedule freight deliveries and pickups. Assign loads to drivers and ensure timely dispatching. Monitor shipments and provide real-time updates to clients. Maintain communication with drivers to handle delays, issues, or route changes. Track and update load statuses using dispatch software. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Sales Duties: Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients. Identify sales opportunities and generate leads through cold calling, email, or networking. Provide rate quotes and negotiate terms with customers. Follow up on potential leads and close deals to meet sales targets. Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth execution of customer requirements. Qualifications Previous experience in trucking/logistics dispatching and/or freight sales (1-2 years preferred). Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure. Proficient with dispatching software and Microsoft Office Suite.
