Job Description

We are currently hiring a **Senior Data Scientist II** based in our**Head Office in Burnaby**. As a **Senior Data Scientist II**, you will work within a highly collaborative, cross functional team focused on solving complex business problems through advanced analytics, modelling, and machine learning. You will partner closely with stakeholders across the organization to deliver insight driven solutions, communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, and help advance BCAAs data driven decision making capabilities. You will also contribute to the ongoing development of BCAAs Data Lake and play an active role in strengthening data science practices, education, and analytics enablement across the organization. Document methodologies, assumptions, validation, and testing to support knowledge sharing and reuse Support analytics enablement and education initiatives that foster data driven decision making across BCAA * Bachelors degree or Masters degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, or a related STEM discipline* Advanced experience programming in Python* Experience developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments* Strong foundation in statistical concepts, algorithms, and advanced mathematical techniques* Experience working with large and complex datasets across the full data lifecycle* Exposure to Amazon Web Services* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tell compelling stories with data* Preferred experience with R, Python, AWS, PowerBI, and TableauMinimum seven years of experience in analytical roles with a strong focus on predictive modelling Demonstrated experience leading data science projects from problem definition through production and the role is a The salary range for this position is $121,381.08 to 151,726.44 and is determineddemand and internal equity.
