About this team and role: The Revenue Data Science team partners closely with Finance and senior leadership to understand revenue performance, model future outcomes, and provide a clear, trusted view of Mozillas revenue outlook. The teams work supports planning, investment decisions, and executive discussions across a rapidly evolving product and market landscape. This Staff Data Scientist role owns Mozillas revenue forecasting and executive reporting workflows end-to-end. The role requires strong technical judgment, clear communication, and the ability to operate effectively in gray areasbalancing rigor with practicality to deliver insights leaders can trust and act on. What youll do: Own Mozillas search revenue forecasting program end-to-end, including model development, scenario analysis, and executive-facing reporting Develop and maintain forecasting models in Python, selecting appropriate approaches and validating results to ensure accuracy and reliability Translate complex trends, assumptions, and trade-offs into clear narratives for Finance and senior leadership, including live VP-level discussions Evaluate the impact of key drivers, uncertainties, and evolving conditions to inform planning and decision-making Establish best practices for forecasting, validation, and reporting, and mentor other Data Scientists contributing to revenue-related work What youll bring: 8+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or applied quantitative roles, with demonstrated ownership of complex, business-critical analytical programs Strong technical foundation, including advanced Python and SQL, with experience building, validating, and maintaining forecasting or decision-support models Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in ambiguous environmentsbalancing rigor with pragmatism to deliver directional, decision-ready insights when perfect precision is not possible Proven ability to communicate complex analyses clearly to senior stakeholders, including presenting live to executives and handling questions with confidence Track record of partnering closely with Finance or similar stakeholders to inform planning and strategic decisions Demonstrated leadership through mentoring other Data Scientists and establishing best practices within a functional area Commitment to our values: Being relationship-minded Having grit What youll get: Generous performance-based bonus plans to all eligible employees - we share in our success as one team Rich medical, dental, and vision coverage Generous retirement contributions with 100% immediate vesting (regardless of whether you contribute) Quarterly all-company wellness days where everyone takes a pause together Country specific holidays plus a day off for your birthday One-time home office stipend Quarterly well-being stipend Considerable paid parental leave Employee referral bonus program Other benefits (life/AD&D, disability, EAP, etc. - varies by country) About Mozilla Mozilla exists to build the Internet as a public resource accessible to all because we believe that open and free is better than closed and controlled.
