As a key member of the Cybersecurity Operations team, the Cybersecurity IAM Engineer plays a critical role in safeguarding AutoCanadas digital environment. This position is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining processes and controls that govern identities and access across our systems, platforms, and applications. This role designs and enforces identity and access controls across systems, platforms, and applications, strengthening our security posture through disciplined RBAC implementation, leastprivilege enforcement, and continuous access lifecycle governance. This role collaborates closely with End User Computing, Infrastructure, People & Culture, and general managers across our locations, requiring both strong communication and technical execution skills. The position requires a selfdirected, detailoriented professional capable of managing identity challenges with minimal oversight. This role reports to the Director of Cybersecurity and contributes directly to elevating AutoCanadas overall security maturity. What drives your day-to-day Monitor and respond to tickets for Onboarding, Offboarding, account issues, and permission request. Perform user lifecycle management (provisioning, modification, deprovisioning) across cloud and onprem systems. Execute access governance activities including RBAC maintenance, leastprivilege enforcement, recertifications, and access reviews. Troubleshoot authentication, SSO, MFA, and directoryrelated issues for users and applications. Configure, monitor, and maintain Entra ID features including MFA, SSPR, Conditional Access, and Identity Protection. Manage Okta for SSO, federation, group assignments, and application integrations (when applicable). Support and optimize identity federation protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OIDC, SCIM, and SSO integrations. Manage access, permissions, and governance for SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive for Business (site/group ownership, sharing controls, external access). Develop, implement and maintain Conditional Access policies aligned to risk posture, device compliance, and Zero Trust principles. Create scripts to manage M365, Entra ID, Okta, and AD objects at scale. Prepare audit evidence and reporting for access controls, provisioning workflows, and compliance checkpoints. Assist the Security Operations Manager in developing, reviewing, and updating security policies, standards, and procedures. Act as a technical contributor to cybersecurity-related projects and initiatives. Participate in knowledge base content creation and maintenance. What are the must-haves 5+ years of handson experience in Identity & Access Management, cybersecurity, or systems administration. Experience supporting hybrid identity environments (Active Directory + Entra ID). Direct experience administering Microsoft 365 services including SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive. Practical experience implementing and troubleshooting Conditional Access, MFA, and identity governance controls. Hands on experience with Azure RBAC including the creation of custom roles. Understanding of IAMrelated security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS Controls, ISO 27001). Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail. Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Security certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC300), Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate (SC200), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ104) or equivalent are considered assets.
