Current Rate of Pay : Min $42.24-Max $54.87 Location : 115 Delhi St. & 460 Speedvale Avenue (New DI Community Centre) Current Shifts : Days, evenings and weekend - 8hrs Position Summary The Ultrasound Clinical Instructor is an experienced sonographer charged with guiding and supervising ultrasound students during the course of their clinical placement. The Ultrasound Technologist (sonographer) is a healthcare professional that works under general supervision and performs diagnostic imaging examinations utilizing sonography techniques specialized for imaging of the body. The Ultrasound Technologist uses their knowledge and skills to perform ultrasound examinations utilizing a technology that creates detailed and dynamic images of the bodys internal organs using high frequency sound waves. The Ultrasound Technologist ensures the care provided is safe, appropriate, tailored, timely, and maximizes the potential of the available equipment and resources. Certification Current membership in the C.S.D.M.S. Minimum 5 to 7 years recent Ultrasound experience Excellent interpersonal skills to successfully communicate with patients and staff Ability to work independently and to exercise sound judgment and to work co-operatively as part of a team Willing to work all shifts and on-call Demonstrated leadership skills Demonstrated skills in teaching/training Proficient in Microsoft Office Word/Excel/PowerPoint Demonstrated multitasking and time management skills with sound organizational and prioritization capabilities; able to work well in stressful situations Understanding and commitment to GGHs safety programs and practices including staff safety, patient safety, and environmental safety; participates in regular in-service education and e-learning as required Commitment to life-long learning Ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner as well as collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment Commitment to excellent customer service when interacting with patients, families, colleagues and physicians Come and join our team if you are looking for an exciting opportunity where you will be supported and empowered.
