Were seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable horticulture professional with a passion for plants and people. This is a lead position mentoring under the Department Manager. Job type: F/T 40 hrs/week. Salary: $21.00 24.00/hr. Responsibilities Building sales and supporting our brand by providing outstanding service to our guests Sharing your gardening knowledge - informing guests about care & maintenance of their plants, asking questions to help solve gardening concerns Assisting in the execution of the product flow process, including receiving, pricing, preparing product for floor, and final placement - ensuring tables are full of plants and meet our quality standards Qualifications A passion for what we do connecting people to nature and growing! Good knowledge base of trees & shrubs, including proper growing and maintenance requirements 3+ years customer service experience, preferably in a retail setting Strong organization skills are self-directed, and you work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strength in Microsoft Excel, and utilizing our POS system for sales reporting You believe in fostering a positive and respectful workplace - listening, looking for solutions and encouraging open communication among the team Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including weekends, and holidays as seasonal peaks require, including store opening and closing responsibilities This job requires extended periods of walking and standing, as well as the ability to lift to 50lbs and work in various weather conditions and environments Forklift certification or willingness to go through our in-house training program Benefits At GARDENWORKS, we offer a culture that values a healthy, fulfilling work-life balance.
