This role is designed for someone in their first 2+ years of practice who is eager to learn, values collaboration, and wants to grow into a confident employment lawyer under the guidance of experienced counsel. This is not a sink or swim position. You will work closely with senior lawyers, initially supporting files and gradually taking on greater responsibility as your skills and confidence develop. We believe strong lawyers are built through mentorship, handson experience, and thoughtful progression. What the Role Actually Looks Like Assist on employment law files, including wrongful dismissals, human rights complaints, employment standards disputes, and restrictive covenant matters. Progress to running your own files with autonomy, from pleadings to resolution. Support lawyers with legal research, drafting, and preparation for hearings, mediations, and court appearances. Participate in client meetings and strategy discussions to learn how files are managed from intake to resolution. You will progress to advising clients directly clients will know your name, not just the firms. Assist with appearances, and appear independently as appropriate to your level of experience, before tribunals, the Court of Justice, and the Court of Kings Bench on various matters.
