Overview Paint Crew Lead Hand Pavement Marking (Seasonal) | Ledcor Highways Ltd. | Alberta Highways | AprilOctober Join Ledcors Highway Maintenance team as a Paint Crew Lead Hand, supporting pavement marking operations across Alberta. This seasonal role requires strong leadership, a safety first mindset, and experience working with heavy equipment and field crews. Essential Responsibilities Lead daily paint crew operations with a focus on safety and PPE compliance Conduct FLHAs, toolbox talks, and weekly safety meetings Coordinate with Shop Foremen, track materials, collect samples, and complete QC forms Ensure accurate production reporting and daily paint reports Delegate tasks, manage shift timelines, and maintain organized work areas Oversee equipment cleaning, tire checks, and scheduled maintenance Qualifications Experience in pavement marking or highway maintenance is an asset Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills with the ability to manage stressful situations Tech Savvy working with apps and inputting data into various systems Ability to work long shifts and manage physical field demands Commitment to safety above all else Valid Class 1 or 3 with air brake endorsement Clear 3 yr drivers abstract Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing Work Conditions Start Date: April 13th Spring/Summer Seasonal work: AprilOctober 1214 hrs/day Travel, shift work, on-call availability, and night shifts required during operating months Accommodation/Meal allowance/ LOA provided Work locations span provincial and municipal highways across Alberta Preference given to local candidates given the nature of work Additional Information Ledcor builds and maintains infrastructure in various industries including oil and gas, transportation, and mining.
