HDR is currently seeking a junior to intermediate CAD technician or technologist to support our Water Business. Primary Responsibilities The ideal candidate is an individual who is looking to advance a career through working for various client sectors such as, but not limited to, civil, mechanical, and environmental design for projects associated with on-going water supply and collection, water treatment, wastewater treatment and environmental projects. We are looking for a motivated and self-starting individual with a strong attention to detail. Someone who communicates effectively and has some prior experience: Preparing conceptual and detailed design drawings using AutoCAD and designing using Civil 3D. Construct drawings using computer-aided design software under the direct supervision of other technologists or engineers. Produce drawings on BIM software from engineering sketches and instruction. Coordinate workload to complete engineering tasks on schedule. Continually QA/QC own work product. Work independently on projects/tasks as assigned and assist other team members. Additional tasks could include supporting field assignments when they come up, such as site topographic surveys and construction supervision, as well as supporting project managers with project coordination. Comply with all relevant legislation and HDR''s corporate policies/procedures. Perform other duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications A minimum 3 years of related experience; applicants such as new graduate will be considered based on work-term experience and/or summer employment. Advanced proficiency with skills and experience using Revit and Civil 3D. An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
