Overview The Line Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food items in accordance with standardized recipes and presentation guidelines. This role supports smooth kitchen operations by maintaining speed, accuracy, cleanliness, and consistency while working collaboratively with the culinary team in a fast-paced environment. This role pays an hourly rate of $23.00 CAD Benefits for Part-Time roles: Pension matching This position will remain open until May 1, 2026. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and food safety guidelines Set up and stock assigned workstations with necessary supplies and equipment Ensure food quality, freshness, and presentation meet company standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations during and after service Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations Communicate effectively with chefs and kitchen team members during service Assist with prep work, plating, and restocking as required Properly store food, label products, and rotate inventory (FIFO) Support opening and closing kitchen procedures Comply with all company policies and workplace safety standards Qualifications Previous experience as a line cook or in a commercial kitchen preferred Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong attention to detail and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs Strengthened by our Differences.
