Position Summary The successful candidate will meet performance standards as outlined by the College of Nurses and by the Trillium Health Centre policies and procedures Responsible and accountable for decisions and actions in the provision and management of medical care for patients Practitioner, consultant and educator for appropriate patient groups and health care team members Qualifications Current registration and certification of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario is required. Current BCLS is required Recent Acute surgical inpatient experience is required. Demonstrates knowledge, skill and the ability to care for patients with the following: IV therapy, blood transfusion, patient-controlled analgesia, epidurals, central venous access devices; nasogastric tubes, wound care management; continuous bladder irrigation, glucose monitoring, normal and abnormal blood values, postoperative fluid management and postoperative care.
