GME (Global Manufacturing Engineering) is a crossfunctional team having the primary responsibility to plan for and implement the launch of new engine programs at assembly plants and new powertrain and battery cell and assemblies at component plants. The Manufacturing Engineer candidate will be a part of this team and be responsible for the following: Responsibilities What youll do The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: Lead the endtoend lifecycle of Powertrain Assembly Systems, including design, procurement, build, and installation, while ensuring all global program timing, cost, and quality deliverables are met. Develop and maintain standardized global powertrain assembly documentation, including Bill of Processes, Manufacturing Process Sheets, Manufacturing Design Standards, and Standard Equipment Lists. Utilize virtual engineering tools to evaluate the feasibility of new model designs for highvolume manufacturing and lead the identification, resolution, and closure of all assembly feasibility issues. Oversee equipment installation, startup, and commissioning at manufacturing sites, including conducting equipment buyoffs at vendor facilities and managing the resolution of launchrelated product or equipment issues. Collaborate with crossfunctional teamsincluding Product Development, Supplier Technical Assistance, Material Planning and Logistics, and Operationsto optimize facility and tooling costs, improve quality, and reduce labor requirements. Implement Manufacturing Quality Operating System requirements for cylinder head assembly systems and drive continuous improvement by applying ''Lessons Learned'' and ''Prevent Reoccurrence'' actions. Support investment efficiency and the integration of new technologies through the Concept and Implementation Readiness Process, ensuring all systems remain aligned with global powertrain strategies. Create and manage master schedules for the design and implementation of subsystem tools, maintaining complete alignment across all departmental assembly systems. Author and maintain critical process documentation, including process sheets and updated Cycle Line Layouts, to support consistent manufacturing execution. Drive departmental initiatives focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Morale, Environment, and Innovation to ensure operational excellence. Qualifications You''ll have Education: Bachelors in Engineering or equivalent (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required). Experience: 5+ years experience in powertrain manufacturing engineering, with specific expertise in cylinder head assembly processes, engine functionality, and the implementation of errorproofing technologies. 5+ years experience utilizing computeraided design software such as AutoCAD and Product Lifecycle Management tools including Teamcenter, Global Study Process Allocation System, and Manufacturing Information Database and Analysis System. 5+ years'' experience managing Manufacturing Quality Operating System requirements, including the development of Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Dynamic Control Plans, and the use of the Ariba Purchasing System. 3+ years'' experience leading the endtoend design, installation, and commissioning of complex assembly equipment such as robotics, vision systems, and automated conveyors within a highvolume manufacturing facility. Even better, you may have Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) Experience: Maintain high levels of flexibility and resilience within dynamic, fastpaced work environments, demonstrating the capacity to operate effectively under pressure and meet rigorous timing constraints without compromising quality.
