Position Overview As a Registered Nurse (RN) within this primary care facility, you will perform history taking and intake functions as well as triage and work within established care pathways for specific protocols and in some cases nurse prescribe. You will be involved in some Point of care testing, interpretation and investigation recommendations and scheduling. You will also be key in panel management and patient education. In addition, you will implement prescribed interventions- including diagnostic tests, vaccines, and treatments- and regularly evaluate and adjust care plans based on patient response and changing conditions. You bring a strong skillset around collaboration and cross-functional teaming and can be influential within an integrated primary healthcare team environment. Your critical thinking and commitment to quality service delivery contributes to solutions that integrate well across the spectrum of this primary care environment. Position: Registered Nurse Primary working location: Covenant Family Health Clinic, Community Wellness Centre - Lakewood This is a Full Time position of 40.0 hours per week Minimum Salary: $38.25 Maximum Salary: $51.75 Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive focused assessments which include health history and physical evaluations (where applicable) considering multi-variables. Conduct and document nursing assessments and update patient demographics as needed. Acquire and maintain understanding of recommended screening for early identification of chronic diseases. What You Bring to the Table Education: Graduate of a Registered Nurse program or recognized equivalent. Active registration with CARNA. Heart and Stroke Foundation B.L.S. Certification (Level C) Health Care Provider. Experience: Minimum of three (3) years clinical nursing experience in a variety of healthcare settings. Family practice nursing experience would be an asset. Leadership or educator experience as well as demonstrated knowledge of adult learning needs. Equivalent education and experience may be considered. Previous experience with an Electronic Medical Record an asset.
