Position Summary A Deli Bakery Associate provides exemplary customer service by adhering to the basic beliefs and values of Walmart, maintains and zones the Bakery and/or Deli area, and assists with stocking and the sale of goods. What youll do Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables, and bunkers are organized and products are in the correct location. Rotates stock and checks for expired products. Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced. Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sellby dates, and expiration dates. Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; prepares hot food merchandise and provides requested assistance. Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; prepares chicken using a rotisserie oven; and fills prepared side dishes for placement into display area. Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls. Follows proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels. Available to work on weekends. The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $18.05.
