Were looking for our next Director, Capital Markets. Could It Be You? Reporting to the Managing Director, Capital Markets, the Director is responsible for the leadership and daily oversight and execution of the Capital Markets operations. This role ensures the seamless execution, administration, and settlement of all wholesale funding programs, including Whole Loan Sales (WLS), revolving secured credit facilities (mortgages and consumer loans), and NHA MBS and CMB securitization. The Director leads a high-performing operations team and is accountable for the integrity of asset acquisition and funding execution and investor/lender inquiries and data requests. As a key leader supporting Questbanks launch and evolution, the incumbent will oversee the operationalization of new and existing funding channels and the implementation and administration of new securitization related technology. A key priority for this leader is the championing of Artificial Intelligence and digital transformation, ensuring the operations group leverages advanced technology to drive enterprise-wide efficiencies, reduce operational risk, and scale effectively. Operational Leadership & Team Management Lead and mentor the Capital Markets Operations team (including Managers and Analysts), fostering a culture of precision, accountability, and continuous improvement. Oversee the daily administration of all funding programs, ensuring all operational milestones (pooling, sales, remittances, and settlements) are met without fail. Manage the operational budget and resource allocation to support the banks growth, including the onboarding of new technology and headcount for NHAMBS administration. Quarterback the execution of ongoing Whole Loan Sales and issuance of Multi-family MBS pools. Reconcile collections and ensure accuracy in P&I ITF account, timely MBS remittances, and compliant excess spread clearing. Oversee and manage the revolving credit facilities and collateral management activities, including eligibility testing, concentration limits, covenant monitoring and forecasting, and the preparation of draw documentation. Manage interest rate hedging and swap payment reconciliations required for the funding facilities Stakeholder Management & Inquiry Resolution Act as the primary operational point of contact for external stakeholders, including ABCP lenders, Whole Loan buyers, CMHC, Custodians, and Rating Agencies. Facilitate and resolve complex internal/external inquiries regarding portfolio performance, remittance discrepancies, and/or contractual obligations. Partner with Treasury, Cash Management, Credit Risk and Servicing teams to optimize the allocation, pooling, and sales process across the enterprise. Governance, Audit & Data Integrity Serve as the operational lead for internal and external audits (e.g., Protiviti, CMHC, investors/lenders). Ensure all data requests and regulatory reporting (including NHA MBS administration via MortgageHub) are delivered with 100% accuracy and within strict timelines. Support the onboarding of new technology and systems by leading the operational testing and implementation of Capital Markets capabilities. So are YOU our next Director, Capital Markets? You are if you Have 10+ years of experience in Capital Markets operations, Securitization, or Treasury operations within a Financial Institution. Have expert-level knowledge of NHA MBS and CMB, Revolving Credit Facilities, and Whole Loan Sale mechanics. Have strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing operational teams through periods of significant organizational change or rapid growth. Have experience with securitization platforms (e.g., MortgageHub). Have operational resilience and the ability to manage high-volume, time-sensitive transaction cycles with zero tolerance for error. Have strategic problem solving skills and can translate complex program structures into repeatable, scalable operational processes. Have strong influencing skills and the ability to navigate and influence cross-functional teams (Legal, Risk, Tech, Finance) to drive operational outcomes. Have experience in Multi-family mortgage securitization and aggregator relationship management. Have a deep understanding of OSFI Guidelines including B20, LAR & CAR Guidelines.
