Partner with the Department Manager to execute department strategies and help achieve stated goals and performance objectives. Support team development through training, coaching, motivation, and recognition while maintaining a high level of trust, confidentiality, and professionalism. Lead regular team huddles to share goals, recognize achievements, exchange product knowledge, and provide meaningful feedback to build engagement and connection. Safeguard Farm Boys financial assets by supporting safe management, document retention, audits, float tracking, over/short reporting, refund oversight, and other cashhandling controls. Promote awareness, communication, and adherence to company policies and government regulations to ensure a compliant and accountable team environment. Champion all Safe Food Handling and Health & Safety policies, procedures, and regulatory standards to maintain a safe store for customers and team members. Provide handson support to daily operations by assisting with cashier coverage, customer service, overrides, schedule maintenance, cart retrieval, and general store cleanliness. Support office and administrative functions, including safe management, cash handling, scheduling, purchasing orders, and payroll processes. Contribute to store success by assisting with other related duties as required. Qualifications A genuine passion for delivering engaging and exceptional customer service. Completion of a postsecondary program with an emphasis in business, plus a minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ability to thrive in a fastpaced, dynamic environment by effectively managing changing priorities while maintaining a high level of performance. Successful completion of Smart Serve certification, or willingness to obtain certification within six months of hire. Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills, supported by clear, confident communication and strong mathematical aptitude. Comfort learning and using manual and automated systems, with prior experience working with a variety of computer software programs. Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.
