Assistant Team Leader supports the production team leader with daily tasks to keep the cell functioning smoothly and efficiently. Mitigate potential risks and respond to problems appropriately as they arise. Work with other team leaders and assistants, and partner teams to meet goals and commitments DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to Assist Team Leader with coordination, scheduling, and prioritization of daily activities Assume responsibility for the team during Team Leaders Absence Assist in the training and development of team members Delegate assignments and supervise team members Assist in the evaluation of individual and team performance Contribute to ongoing process improvements in the team Process supplier/internal non-conformance reports (NCR) including Material Review Board (MRB) dispositions and related transactions Assist in Scheduling, kitting, oracle transactions and completion of work orders in timely manner Ensure full compliance of all applicable quality standards and internal SOP''s Provide assistance to the line as needed Use knowledge and experience to make wise and timely business decisions that stand without excessive change or correction Assist Team Leader to Monitor and/or manage yield, productivity, efficiency, OTD, and overtime Interact and provide service to internal customers Ensure timely coordination with all departments, and strive for high quality and customer satisfaction Support team to organize the workflow effectively using 5S + 1 and Lean principles Participate in team quality improvement meetings Drive continuous improvement identify and seize improvement opportunities with a sense of urgency that is consistent with business strategy Ensure all safety regulations are being followed Ensures full compliance with all quality assurance standards Participate in internal and external audits Assist Team Leader in payroll administration through HRIS system and timecard management Support team in Resource Planning and Vacation Administration Support in coordinating disposition and RMAs Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: High School Degree, GED or military training experience. With a focus on vocational skills preferred Minimum 2 years electronic assembly experience or equivalent in manufacturing of other products Knowledge of electronics manufacturing best practices such 5S, Kaizen, etc. is an asset Previous supervisory, Assistant Team Leader, or lead hand experience is an asset Possess strong leadership, problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to learn multiple tasks and work in a fast paced, high volume processing function. Good computer skills: experience in using an ERP or MRP is a definite advantage; familiar with MS Office suite is required Solid oral and written communication skills Must be detail oriented, organized, and can inspire others to action. Knowledge / background in IPC standards; IPC certification is an asset Committed to Quality Standards. Knowledge of ISO 9001 and 13485 standards are an asset What you need to know: You need to be legally eligible to work full-time in British Columbia, Canada for any employer Offer of employment contingent on successful background check Shift: Day (Monday to Friday, 7AM-3:30PM) This is a full-time, regular/indefinite position Base Pay: The anticipated pay range for this position is CDN $26.00$29.00 per hour.
