Job Description

This Game Studio is looking for a talented Senior UI/UX Designer to join our team. If you have a passion for mobile game systems and a desire to work in a truly cross-functional, small studio environment - we would love to hear from you!This is a fully remote contract position in BC.As a Senior UI/UX Designer, you will be working closely with the Lead UI/UX Designer and the development team to design and implement game features across different mobile platforms. You will create wireframes, mockups, gather feedback and test theories to ensure that the player experience is clear, intuitive and overall enjoyable! Responsibilities:Provide various creative UX solutions to challenging problemsCollaborate with game designers and the rest of the UI team to design featuresCreate wireframes, screen flows and documentation to present to the rest of the teamClearly communicate UI/UX goals and rationaleImplement UI prefabs in UnityIterate existing designs by gathering and assessing feedbackMaintain and update documentationCreate mockups following existing Style GuidesWork closely with development team to implement featuresSetting up and improving workflows as needed Ensure screens and features are functioning as intended and with good UX, while displaying properly across different types of devicesCreate and export assets, including new art and animations, for implementationResearch current game and mobile design trendsQualifications:Have previously developed UI/UX in the game industry Have launched several products and provided UI/UX for a live titleAt least 5+ years of Unity experience Creative mindset and ability to problem solve technical and design challengesProficient in Photoshop and some experience with other Adobe Creative Suite programs (Illustrator, Animate)Familiarity with wireframing programsExcellent interpersonal skills in dealing with creative and technical departmentsAble to work individually and in small teamsWireframing and prototyping skillsGreat verbal and written communication skillsFast learner; able to pick up new programs and understand processesStrong portfolio showcasing UI/UX, graphic design and 2D art principles is a mustYou must reside in BC and be qualified to work in CanadaNice to Have: Simple 2D animation experienceFigma experienceHave an interest in mobile games and what makes them fun!
