With 36 locations in Canada and over 150+ locations, in 28 states, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, Latin America, Mexico, there is a location to service our customers HVAC/R needs.The Manager, Health & Safety (H&S) provides strategic and operational leadership of Carrier Enterprise Canadas Health and Safety program, ensuring that operational performance, safety, and sustainability are fully aligned. Reporting to the Vice President, Operations, this role is a key contributor to CE Canadas Operations Leadership team.As a culture champion, the Manager will lead the development of a comprehensive Health, Safety, and Sustainability Programshifting from compliance-based activities to a proactive, people-first culture rooted in accountability, continuous improvement, and environmental responsibility. Over time, this role will also advance the companys ESG objectives, ensuring future-ready, efficient, and sustainable operationsThe Opportunity:Health, Safety & Culture TransformationDesign, implement, and manage a comprehensive Health & Safety Management System including policies, risk assessments, training, and incident management.Lead CE Canadas Incident Management protocols and ensure appropriate visibility and reporting to key stakeholders.Build a strong safety culture by fostering proactive engagement, accountability, and ownership at every level of the organization.Conduct root-cause analyses and implement sustainable corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Establish and lead governance structures for safety, including the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) and site-level safety reviews.Develop and deliver safety communications, leadership training, and toolbox talks that engage employees and build awareness.Ensure compliance with all Canadian health and safety legislation (OHSA, WSIB, WHMIS, TDG, and Transport Canada).Sustainability & ESG IntegrationCollaborate with CE Domestic and Watsco ESG teams to leverage global best practices and ensure alignment with corporate sustainability goals.Contribute to ESG reporting and ensure compliance with relevant sustainability standards and frameworks.Promote employee engagement and education around sustainability initiatives.Quality & Continuous ImprovementEnsure that CE Canadas Health & Safety program are incorporated into the Quality Management Framework across hub distribution centres, ensuring SOP compliance, training, and reporting.Lead change management initiatives to continuously improve safety performance and reinforce learnings.Develop and refine H&S balanced scorecards and report on key performance indicators.
