They have a job open for Transportation Warehousing Health & Safety Manager to be based in Mississauga Brampton, ON area. This is a Continuous Improvement role . This is an existing role.Transportation Warehousing Health & Safety Manager is fully responsible for health & safety of employees / associates in this union environment of 3PL, Warehousing Distribution & Transportation. You will oversee the H&S across several Distribution Centers/ cross doc facilities in Canada and be the SME for anything related to legislature compliance SOPs , Best Practices and similar in a Warehouse and Trucking Transportation set up. You will ensure that all related SOPs and processes related to health and safety are being executed on the floor. You will assess any potential safety hazards and conduct safety audits. You will develop a safety culture and ensure that all training is delivered for regulatory & compliance to all levels of the organization. You will assist the middle and senior management with any accident and incident investigation, identify root cause analysis and make recommendations. You will conduct trend analysis, audits on all material handling equipment and be the corporate H&S champion. This is a continuous improvement role with multi-site responsibilities. All candidates must have managed and led H&S in several locations including trucking and transportation.Transportation Warehousing Health & Safety Manager will have 5 + years experience in H&S with multi-site responsibility (MUST have) in distribution, logistics, retail, warehousing, supply chain environment (MUST have) Occupational Health & Safety diploma or degree is highly preferred. Candidates must be flexible to work any shift but majorly working the day shift. You must be available on call on off shift hours and be working afternoons and nights sometimes. In-depth and expert knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety and Safety Act regulations within warehousing is a MUST.
