Southbridge Health Care LP owns and operates several long-term care and retirement Homes throughout many urban and rural areas of Ontario. We are currently seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner . Reporting to the Senior Director of Human Resources, the Senior HRBP plays a critical role in providing strategic HR leadership and guidance to our leaders across our LTC and Retirement homes. This role partners with organizational leaders to align people strategies with business goals, ensuring high-quality HR service delivery across all areas of talent management, employee relations, and organizational development. By guiding and supporting a team of HR Business Partners, the Senior HRBP drives initiatives that foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture while ensuring compliance and operational excellence. This is a full-time position eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with 2-3 day per week remote. Involves occasional travel to the sites across Ontario, a reliable vehicle is necessary. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with some flexibility depending on project requirements and occasional need for overtime. The role involves prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer. The environment is fast-paced and deadline-driven, requiring high attention to detail and strong time management skills. The role includes regular use of computer systems and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities: Guide and coach the team of HR Business Partners (HRBPs), ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality HR services. Partner with business leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals and provide guidance on all aspects of HR, including employee relations, talent management, performance, and compensation. Lead labour relations activities, including grievance and arbitration tracking, collective bargaining support, and case strategy development in partnership with legal counsel and senior leadership. Represent the employer and direct activities related to arbitrations and labour relations hearings. Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and programs that foster an engaging, inclusive, and compliant workplace. Function as a change agent by providing guidance and support to managers and employees during periods of change. Oversee talent programs including succession planning, leadership development, and mentoring to build future capabilities. Design and deliver training programs to support leadership, compliance, and skills development across the organization. Manage workplace issues, including conflict resolution, investigations, and compliance with employment and health & safety legislation. Monitor and analyze HR metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and recommend actionable improvements. Continuously review and improve HR systems, processes, and practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Stay current on HR trends, legislation, and best practices, and update organizational policies as needed. Knowledge and Skills Required: Bachelors degree in human resources or a similar post-secondary diploma. Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a Business Partner or similar role. Proven history of building strong relationships with stakeholders and influencing business outcomes. Solid understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations. Exceptional communication and people skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate across all levels of the organization. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Ability to manage change effectively and drive change initiatives to achieve desired outcomes. CHRL designation is an asset.
