This is a full-time, permanent position.Reporting to the owner, the Operations Manager will be responsible for owning day-to-day operations and turning complexity into clear, repeatable systems.This role exists to ensure that:Sales commitments turn into profitable, on-time executionWarehouse, shop, and installation productivity are measurableScope, inventory, and payments are controlledOwnership is removed from daily fire-fightingThis is a hands-on leadership role. You will be on the floor, in the warehouse, in the office, and on job sites not just behind a desk.Key ResponsibilitiesSales Operations HandoffDesign and enforce a clear handoff process from sales to operationsEnsure scope is finalized, documented, and controlledPrevent work from starting on incomplete or outdated informationEstablish formal change-management rules when customers or builders make changesWarehouse, Millwork & Inventory ControlDefine and track productivity for:Millwork / trim productionWarehouse picking and stagingOwn inventory discipline to prevent: Over-ordering, under-ordering, emergency material shortages.Establish supplier selection standards and pricing controlsReduce owner involvement in purchasing decisions over time by systemizing pricing and supplier rulesProject Management OversightDirectly manage Project ManagersClearly define PM responsibilities (execution and scheduling not operations)Support PMs with strong upstream processes so they are not chasing missing informationCreate clear rules for handling builder changes and custom jobsOffice Admin & Payment EnforcementOversee office administration as a governance functionEnforce payment milestones:Deposits before productionTrim paid before back finishExtras delivered only when paidBack the admin team when deliveries or work must be stopped due to non-paymentSales & Operational KPIsBuild visibility into:Quotes issued vs jobs convertedConversion rates by salespersonTime from quote to closeFrequency of job changesProvide leadership with clear, actionable metricsSoftware Implementation (Cineapps)Lead operational implementation and adoption once the system is ready for useDefine usage standards, workflows, and enforcementTrain teams and eliminate parallel systemsLeadership & AccountabilityDirectly manage warehouse, shop, purchasing, project managers, office admin, and operational schedulingMake sound decisions even when full buy-in takes timeCreate clarity, structure, and accountability across teamsKey QualificationsMinimum 10 years experience working in manufacturing and production environments, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.Relevant post-secondary education.
