Kelly Services has partnered with a client to recruit for Maintenance Mechanic across facilities in GTA, ONThe Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for providing overall mechanical support to the production group in the areas of packaging as well as processing and facilities to ensure continuous operations.ResponsibilitiesModify, repair, install, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot various types of machinery, equipment and facilities in the processing & packaging departmentsDiagnose mechanical problems, provide quick & innovative solutions for mechanical equipment breakdowns by applying proven skills in the principles of mechanics, fitting, plumbing, basic welding, metal fabrication, machining, troubleshooting, and analytical problem solvingOperates drill press, grinder, saws, and all other machine shop toolsSetup, takedown, and relocation of bakery and packaging equipmentPerforms preventative maintenance and safety inspectionsProvides solutions to routine or unique equipment problemsPromptly responds to equipment related issues with customer-oriented mannerSafely Operates Scissor lift, Forklift as needed (after training and certification)Equipment PM (Preventive Maintenance) responsible for maintaining equipment in safe working condition, lubricating necessary parts, changing worn out or damaged parts, Perform major overhaulsEquipment (Production) helps production set up the equipment on the line and troubleshoot/repair equipment during shift.Shop House Keeping - responsible for maintaining maintenance shop and toolbox organized and cleanFilling Out Shift Report responsible for filling out electronically the shift report in specific issues or tasks completed during shiftResponsible for filling out Notifications/Workorders through CMMS SAP systemSkills & ExperienceMinimum 3 years of working experience in Maintenance in a Manufacturing environment.Knowledge of preventative maintenance programsMechanical Training or Experience is preferredStrong verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of Health & Safety and Lockout ProceduresMust have a valid drivers licenseWhat's in for you!Monday to Friday onsitePay rate: $38.75 - 43.75/hour + 4% vacation payHundreds of free training courses through our Kelly Learning Center that you can access from home 24/7If you're looking for an opportunity where you can be your best self and join a fantastic team, look no further and apply today!Why Kelly?As a worker today, its up to you to take charge of your career and look for opportunities to learn, grow and achieve your potential.
