About the role We are looking for an IT Technical Advisor I to join our growing team What you''ll do here: Provide in-person technical support to employees at the IT BAR (on-site help desk), five days a week in the office. Greet users, qualify requests, diagnose common issues, and propose quick solutions. Resolve incidents related to workstations, peripherals, basic telephony, mobile devices, network access, printers, and the company''s standard applications. Perform basic tasks for installing, configuring, and updating software in compliance with internal standards. Follow up on requests and incidents in the ticketing tool, clearly documenting actions and resolutions. Escalate complex issues to the appropriate teams following established procedures. Contribute to service quality by applying procedures, sharing knowledge with the team, and updating user documentation (simple guides, FAQs). Participate in onboarding new employees (workstation setup, peripheral connections, basic access). Occasionally travel to other Intact offices in Quebec to provide on-site support, as needed. What you bring to the table: College or university degree in IT, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 1 to 2 years of experience supporting end users (service desk, on-site support, IT BAR, or similar environment). At least 1 year of experience in incident management (ticket creation, triage, resolution, escalation) using a ticketing tool. Solid practical understanding of end-user environments: Windows, office suite, collaboration tools, VPN, printers, peripherals. Basic knowledge of networks (connectivity, WiFi, cabling), basic enterprise telephony, and standard internal applications. Knowledge of ITIL concepts (incident, service request, change) is an asset; ITIL v3 is a plus but not required. Ability to document interventions and follow established procedures. Exemplary service and customer experience at the IT BAR: warm welcome, active listening, empathy, clear and proactive communication, expectation management, and diligent follow-up through to resolution. Commitment to quality and first-contact resolution speed, with a professional appearance and positive attitude. Team spirit and collaboration with other IT groups. Knowledge of macOS (workstation, integration into the corporate environment) and troubleshooting video conference rooms (VC Room) are assets. Bilingual (French and English): Need to interact on a regular basis with an English-speaking clientele and colleagues across the country.
