M2W2 Job Description Title: NOLA Case Manager Reports to: Executive Director Part time: 20 hrs./wk. Location: Surrey as hub to clients/Volunteers in the Lower Fraser Valley (New Westminster, Maple Ridge, Langley, and Surrey). Position Summary The NOLA (No One Leaves Alone) Case Manager serves as both a professional coordinator and a spiritual shepherd, walking alongside volunteers and parolees as they transition from incarceration into community life. This role integrates best practices in case management with Christian mentoring principles, supporting holistic restorationspiritual, emotional, relational, and practical. The Case Manager equips volunteers, supports parolees, and collaborates with institutional and community partners to foster dignity, hope, and meaningful change. Purpose of the Position The NOLA Case Manager exists to ensure that no person re-entering the community walks alone. Through prayerful leadership, relational mentoring, and compassionate oversight, the Case Manager facilitates program delivery and supports volunteers and parolees in ways that reflect Christ''s love, justice, mercy, and truth. Key Responsibilities Volunteer & Parolee Support Manage a caseload of 57 clients, averaging 3 hours per client per week: o 1 hour for the client (planning, advocacy, coordination) o 1 hour with the volunteer and client o 1 hour for administrative tasks Match trained volunteer mentors with parolees through the NOLA program, ensuring prayerful discernment and suitability. Provide ongoing mentoring, encouragement, pastoral care, and spiritual support to volunteers. Support parolees through trauma-informed, faith-integrated mentoring that respects personal spiritual journeys while embodying Christian values. Faith Integration & Spiritual Leadership Model a Christ-like posture of humility, grace, boundaries, and accountability. Encourage spiritual growth, reflection, and hope without coercion, honoring freedom of belief while witnessing through action and character. Help volunteers integrate faith-based perspectives into mentoring relationships in appropriate, ethical, and culturally sensitive ways. Collaboration & Advocacy Build trusting, respectful relationships with Social Program Officers (SPOs), Parole Officers (POs), institutional staff, and community partners. Advocate for those impacted by incarceration by helping connect them to community resources (housing, employment, counseling, faith communities, and social supports). Trouble-shoot relational, logistical, or systemic challenges involving volunteers, parolees, or partner agencies. Program & Administrative Duties Participate in weekly hybrid team meetings, contributing both professionally and spiritually to team culture. Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and case notes using approved software systems. Prepare monthly and ad hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders. Assist with reviewing and improving application processes, training materials, and program documentation, ensuring alignment with Christian mission and values. Provide information sessions to inmates about M2W2 programs when requested. Required Qualifications & Spiritual Commitments Education & Experience Degree or relevant education in criminology, social work, psychology, theology, or a related field (preferred). Experience in mentoring, case management, ministry, or work with justice-involved populations is an asset. Emotional and spiritual maturity, with a strong commitment to personal mental wellness and healthy boundaries. Understanding of (or willingness to learn) the Canadian justice and parole system. Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn new systems. Practical Requirements Reliable vehicle for travel to appointments and meetings (mileage reimbursed). Willingness to work flexible hours while maintaining appropriate work-life balance in accordance with BC Labour Standards. Job Type: Part-time Pay: $26,000.00-$30,000.00 per year Expected hours: 20 per week Work Location: Hybrid remote in Abbotsford, BC V2T 6S3
