We''re searching for an experienced Document Controller to join a growing manufacturing and fabrication company based in Southeast Calgary. This is a key position for someone who thrives on building systems, creating structure, and bringing order to complexity. You''ll play a critical role in ensuring the company''s documentation and records are fully aligned with quality, safety, and operational standards and work closely with the Quality and Health & Safety Manager to maintain compliance and drive continuous improvement. This is not a junior administrative role. We''re looking for someone ready to own the document control function, build out the system, and lead ongoing document management across departments. What You''ll Do Develop and implement a robust document control system from the ground up to manage technical documents, quality records, H&S documentation, certifications, procedures, and drawings Control issuance, revision, distribution, and archiving of key project and operational documentation Work closely with the Quality & HSE Manager to align documentation with internal and external compliance requirements (ISO, COR, etc.) Audit and monitor document systems for accuracy, version control, and proper access Train internal staff on document control procedures and best practices Coordinate with project managers, engineers, fabricators, and leadership to ensure timely flow and storage of accurate documents Prepare reports and updates on documentation compliance and control system health What We''re Looking For 7+ years of experience in document control or records management Strong understanding of quality systems (ISO 9001), HSE documentation, and technical drawings/specs Proven ability to set up, implement, and lead a document control process (ideally from scratch or through major improvement initiatives) Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Proficient in document management software, Microsoft Office, and file versioning practices Professional, dependable, and confident communicating across departments and seniority levels Bonus: Experience with ERP or QMS platforms is an asset What You''ll Get A chance to build and lead a core business function with full support from leadership Work in a collaborative team environment focused on quality, safety, and craftsmanship Competitive salary based on experience Full health, dental, & vision benefits Life & Disability Insurance Paid time off On-site parking If you''re an experienced Document Controller who takes pride in bringing structure to complexity, we''d love to hear from you.
