Job Description I rving Paper, Limited is a leading producer of specialty grade (SC) papers for flyers and magazines. Our technology gives us the flexibility to manufacture a full range of paper grades (from SCB to SCA+). We are currently looking for a Operations Superintendent within our Finishing & Shipping Department at Irving Paper. Responsibilities Actively manage the performance of your direct reports. Administer the collective agreement while maintaining respectful relationships with unionized employees. Maintain a strong focus on quality. Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental compliance within the department. Collaborate with Maintenance in scheduling asset downtime to optimize equipment efficiency. Develop short term and long term strategies to improve efficiencies and safety. Participate in the development of Codes of Practice, Standard Operating Procedures, Regulatory Training and Job Training for your department. Qualifications Experience in Manufacturing Logistics and Shipping. Bachelor ''s Degree or 2 year completed diploma in a related field. Proven track record in performance and results. Industry related experience is an asset. Familiar with computerized operations and administrative systems. Shift experience working in a 24/7 operation. Previous leadership experience as front-line supervisor. Ideally in a manufacturing, operations or transportation environment About Us Founded in 1882, J.D.
