Opportunity Are you customer service oriented? Do you enjoy highly analytical and investigative work? If so, Millennium Insurance is looking to add a Claims Adjuster Accident Benefit to join their dynamic team Reporting to the Claims Supervisor, Accident Benefit /Bodily Injury, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently evaluating and processing Section B claims. What you will be doing Conduct thorough investigations of accident benefit claims, including obtaining statements, conducting interviews and gathering necessary documentation for evaluation. Review policy coverage and determine the extent of liability. Maintain accurate and detailed claim files, documentation, and reports in accordance with company guidelines and industry standards. Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to inquiries, providing status updates, and addressing concerns from claimants, policyholders, and other stakeholders. Stay up to date with industry trends, legal developments, and best practices in Section B claims management. What you bring to the team Minimum of two (2) years of accident benefit claims handling experience. Post-secondary education and/or CIP designation are considered an asset. In-depth knowledge of auto insurance policies, Section B benefits, regulations and claims procedures. Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively interact with clients. Proficient computer skills, including experience with claims management software and MS Office Suite. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex information and make informed decisions. High level of attention to detail, organization skills and ability to prioritize tasks. High degree of emotional intelligence and empathy. How you will succeed In the first year, success will be measured by the ability to independently assess, evaluate and process medical expense claims within the Diagnostic and Treatment Protocols Regulation (DTPR) with progression to medical claims outside the DTPR and Total Disability payments.
