Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Skid Steer Operator to join our construction and heavy equipment team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating skid steers and other heavy machinery to support various construction projects, including paving, excavation, and grading. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, mechanical knowledge, and safety protocols to ensure efficient project completion and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities Operate skid steers with precision for tasks such as loading, lifting, and moving materials across construction sites. Utilize additional heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, and horizontal drilling machinery as needed. Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal functioning. Assist with site preparation, grading, paving, and excavation activities. Follow safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe work environment for all team members. Collaborate with project managers and team members to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities. Skills Proven experience operating skid steers in a construction or industrial setting. Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Proficiency in loader operation, backhoe operation, grader operation, and excavator handling. Experience with dozer operation, paving, horizontal drilling, and other construction machinery is a plus. Ability to operate Caterpillar equipment or similar heavy machinery confidently. Valid commercial driving license preferred for transporting equipment between sites. Strong understanding of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
