We expect the successful candidate to consistently conduct themselves in alignment with our values: Responsive Dynamic Focused Trusted About the role: A Groundskeeper plays a vital role in ensuring properties are well-maintained, safe, and visually appealing. This position involves performing landscaping and exterior maintenance tasks, applying treatments for pests and supporting seasonal and routine groundskeeping activities. Responsibilities: Carry out seasonal maintenance activities such as winter snow removal, fall cleanup, spring preparation, and removal of debris or damaged tree limbs resulting from adverse weather conditions. Perform landscaping and exterior maintenance tasks, including mowing, edging, trimming, weeding, raking, fertilizing, watering, and other assigned lawn-care duties. Apply sprays or dust treatments to trees, shrubs, lawns, and gardens, as directed and in compliance with applicable safety procedures, to manage insects and plant disease. Conduct snow and ice removal on residential and commercial properties using shovels, snowblowers, and other equipment. Candidate requirements: Ability to operate various tools and know how to operate a vehicle that can pull a trailer. Comprehensive knowledge of building regulations and codes and safety standards. Proven groundskeeping experience, with the ability to maintain and care for a variety of property types. To be on call on a routine basis (after 4 PM, weekends, and statutory holidays). Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with owners, tenants, clients and team members. Willingness to learn and adapt efficiently and effectively. Strong teamwork spirit. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) all the time at work. Potential exposure to dangerous chemical substances, including fertilizers and pesticides. Ability to work at extreme temperatures, including heat, cold, rain, snow, and sun. Ability to work on uneven or slippery surfaces Performing repetitive motions, including lifting, digging, raking, and trimming.
