Located in Port Coquitlam, BC, Imagenex is an innovative company that designs and manufactures sonar equipment, including multibeam, mechanical scanning, and sidescan sonars for use primarily in commercial, industrial, inspection, and research applications. We are seeking a reliable, adaptable, and detail-oriented person for an opening as an Electronics and Mechanical Assembler. Our ideal candidate communicates well in English, both verbally and in writing. Duties and responsibilities: Solder and manually assemble various electronic components Solder and assemble multiwire assemblies, stripping wires, etc. Cut, clean, and solder ceramic transducer elements Solder under a microscope Assemble, inspect, and test various electronics, components, sub-assemblies, etc. Install and encapsulate various components with epoxy and other compounds Requirements: Must have soldering experience Experience soldering ceramic transducers would be preferred Good hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity are necessary Good eyesight needed for small components and up-close work Experience with adhesives and potting compounds is desirable Should be able to use a multi-meter Experience with typical electronics assembly tools Must be organized with good verbal skills Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: From $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 37.5 per week Benefits: Casual dress On-site parking Ability to commute/relocate: Port Coquitlam, BC V3C 4Z1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: Soldering: 1 year (preferred) Language: English (required) Location: Port Coquitlam, BC V3C 4Z1 (preferred) Work Location: In person
