Berminghammer Foundation Equipment (SB Canada) is seeking to add another CNC Machinist (afternoon shift). Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor, the CNC Machinist will support the Assembly, Welding, Engineering and Heavy Equipment Mechanics departments. The Employee is required to perform the duties as outlined. The position will be based out of the Manufacturing site in Hamilton, ON. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION Setting up and operating Haas CNC vertical mills and lathes to machine custom or short production run parts. Selecting the proper tools and equipment for the task Meeting production deadlines Working under minimal supervision Using the overhead crane to set up required equipment Working in a team environment Performing basic machining operation to manual mills and lathes Maintaining a clean and organized work area Ensuring conformity of parts to engineered drawings Adhering to safe work procedures at all times Lifting up to 50lb Required Education, Skills and Qualifications Strong machining background in non-production environment Familiarity with ISO G-code programming language Ability to adapt to new situations and solve problems Ability to follow written instructions Positive attitude with strong work ethics, open mindedness is a must Experience programming using Mastercam is an asset Experience with Heidenhain control is an asset Red Seal Certification of Qualifications an asset Understanding of GD & T an asset Registered apprentices are welcome to apply Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $26.00-$36.00 per hour Benefits: Dental care Disability insurance Employee assistance program Extended health care Life insurance On-site parking RRSP match Tuition reimbursement Vision care Wellness program Bonus share buying program Shift premium for afternoons Schedule: 15:00-1:00 Monday to Thursday Overtime available on occasion Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $26.00-$36.00 per hour Benefits: Dental care Disability insurance Employee assistance program Employee stock purchase plan Extended health care Life insurance On-site parking RRSP match Tuition reimbursement Vision care Wellness program Application question(s): Do you have experience working with Heidenhain control?
