Summary of the Role The Tool Repair Technician will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on general construction tools, equipment, and small engines. Key Responsibilities Assist other Tool Repair Specialists in loading/unloading equipment and pressure washing/cleaning equipment as required. Perform maintenance on 2 stroke engines and powered equipment. Test, repair, and certify Rigging equipment (includes chain falls and pullers). Repair mechanical and electrical threading and bending equipment. Diagnose and repair power tools as needed. May require travel to job sites/shops to repair tools as required. Key Requirements, Experience and Skills Repair certification courses (such as rigging inspection) would be an asset. Construction tools of trade knowledge would be preferred. Mechanical experience preferred. Forklift Experience and/or certification required. Valid Driver''s license and clean Driver abstract required. Attributes Works well under time constraints. Great attention to detail and quality control. Multi-tasking capabilities. Effective communication skills (written & oral). Problem Solving, the ability to diagnose an issue and provide solutions.
