Service Technician Full Time & Part Time The Bike Shop Calgary (Central Location) 801 11 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T2R 0E6 Company Overview: The Bike Shop is the largest independently owned bicycle retailer in Calgary and has proudly served our community for over 50 years. With three retail locations throughout the city, our team members pair thousands of customers with their dream bike everyday, make repairs and adjustments, and share the enthusiasm of all styles of cycling. Role Description: Service technicians perform a wide variety of duties depending on their skillset. Entry-level staff perform minor repairs, safety inspections on new bikes, accessory installs, and bicycle builds. Senior techs perform more in-depth tune-ups, brake bleeds, suspension service, e-bike diagnostics, wheel builds, and more. The service department is integral to customer service helping our customers get out on their bikes with as little downtime as possible and ensuring new bikes for sale are up to our standards. Wage Range: Junior Tech: $17-19 per hour + Team Commission (~$1-3 per hour) Senior Tech: $19-21 per hour + Team Commission (~$2-4 per hour) Job Qualifications Experience as a bicycle mechanic in a formal setting is an asset Solid knowledge of current cycling technology and industry trends Strong attention to detail Experience utilizing POS systems (experience with Ascend software is an asset) Ability to handle stressful situations and conflicting demands Strong written and verbal communication skills Working at The Bike Shop will provide you with: A fun, challenging, and fast-paced work environment.
