Job Description

THIS LTO ASSIGNMENT IS OPEN to MEMBERS of the OCCASIONAL TEACHERS of the OECTA-PVNC Unit, who are on the OCCASIONAL TEACHER ROSTER LIST WITH THIS BOARD The start and end dates, and FTE are subject to change at any time. This assignment may be extended by Human Resource Services to the end of the school year, but will not continue beyond the end of the 25/26 school year, if necessary. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Ontario College of Teachers certification with: Primary OR Junior OR Intermediate any subject AND Special Education Specialist (Part 3) OR Primary OR Junior OR Intermediate any subject AND Special Education Part 2 AND Autism elective Responsibilities and Expectations: Provide instructional programming for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders which may include grade level expectations from the Ontario Curriculum and/or modified expectations, based on the students'' assessed learning strengths and needs; Provide instructional programming for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders in the alternate areas of communication, self regulation, social skills, life skills, and transition planning, based on the students'' assessed learning strengths and needs; Develop Individual Education Plans for students and attend IPRC meetings and case conferences as necessary, including preparing, completing, and filing the appropriate corresponding documentation from the Special Education Online System; Knowledge of PVNC Board policies/procedures regarding Safety Plans and the use of physical intervention PVNCCDSB is committed to achieving excellence in Catholic education.
