POSITION TITLE: Parts Technician POSITION OVERVIEW As the Parts Technician, you will be responsible for efficiently handling parts orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring smooth warehouse operations. This role involves supporting store operations, restocking shelves, operating forklifts, and handling shipments. You will also provide exceptional customer service by assisting with parts inquiries, quotations, and sales opportunities. Occasional in-town deliveries and other duties assigned by the Parts Manager may be required. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Order Processing & Inventory Management Pick, pack, and prepare parts for delivery with accuracy and efficiency. Verify and process parts orders, track shipments, and maintain accurate inventory records. Manage purchase orders, supplier relationships, and coordinate logistics for incoming and outgoing shipments. Receive shipments, inspect them for damages and discrepancies, and document any issues. Conduct annual inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy. Customer Service & Sales Support Assist customers by recommending parts, sourcing inventory, and handling inquiries professionally. Provide quotations and identify sales opportunities. Maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring high-quality service and satisfaction. Warehouse & Store Operations Restock shelves, organize inventory, and maintain a clean and orderly workspace. Operate forklifts and other equipment to handle and move parts. Occasionally deliver parts within town as required. Support various facility projects and initiatives as needed. Health & Safety Compliance Adhere to company safety standards and procedures, especially when handling hazardous materials. Ensure a safe work environment by following all regulatory and company guidelines. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 5+ years of experience with construction equipment parts. Journeyman Parts Technician Certificate. Forklift operation experience and a valid Class 5 driver''s license. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational abilities. Proficiency with inventory management systems, purchase orders, and invoicing. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. Physical & Eligibility Requirements Must be legally entitled to work in Canada. Ability to frequently lift 30-50 lbs. Flexibility with daytime hours and occasional weekend work. Must pass a Criminal Record Check.
