Overview Head Of Maintenance (PRM) (Permanent) Winnipeg, MB or Richmond, BC Expected Salary: $127,930 to $159,913 To determine final salary, Babcock considers a variety of factors including the successful Candidates skills and experience and internal equity. The final base salary offer is at the Companys sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package. Role Summary The Head of Maintenance is the Person Responsible for Maintenance (PRM) and will ensure that duties outlined in the Companys Policy Manuals (MPM) are adhered to and accomplished under direction from the Accountable Executive (AE). Working with the Aviation leadership team, the PRM will contribute to the development and implementation of ongoing organizational strategies, policies, processes and best practices for the companys Aviation program. Responsibilities Organize, direct and oversee the ongoing operations of the Maintenance Department, productivity, policies/procedures, standards in all maintenance department areas. Promote a safety culture throughout the Department by encouraging hazard and incident reporting via the Companys SMS process. Delegate management functions for maintenance activities including heavy/base maintenance, line maintenance, component replacement/repair/overhaul, parts procurement, inventory control, shipping/receiving, QA, and projects. Oversee the AMOs Quality Assurance Program and auditing system. Oversee authorization and approval of maintenance, repair, replacement, modification, testing, inspection, overhaul and alteration of Company aircraft and aeronautical products. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers under approved vendors list. Ensure maintenance personnel are qualified to perform their duties safely and productively. Develop, coordinate and maintain monthly long-term fleet maintenance plans. Communicate and share responsibilities through meetings and written communications and mentoring. Develop and support processes to improve occupational health, safety and efficiencies for Maintenance Department personnel. Ensure sufficient materials, tools and equipment are calibrated and available for maintenance of the fleet. Budget oversight for maintenance of the fleet in conjunction with AE and Procurement. Coordinate with Transport Canada as required related to the AMO. Ensure maintenance personnel have valid licenses and training; maintain records. Develop, amend and distribute the companys MPM. Oversee interviewing, hiring, performance/salary reviews and disciplinary actions for Maintenance staff. Maintain orderly, clean hangar/shop/office work areas. The Ideal Candidate Entitlement to work in Canada and reside in Winnipeg, MB or lower mainland of Vancouver, BC TC PRM qualification under CAR 573.04 (Absolute requirement) Valid AME M1 or M2 license Quality Assurance training or equivalent experience 10 years experience with both rotary and fixed wing turbine aircraft maintenance Managerial skills in coaching, leadership and staff administration Eligibility for Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance Excellent command of English, verbal and written Strong interpersonal and communication skills Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS) in aviation Demonstrated leadership in managing staff and projects High ethical standards and organized surroundings Ability to adapt in a changing pace environment Strong persuasion with detail and facts, collaborative management style Delegation and follow-up skills Proficient in Microsoft Office suite Babcock is committed to promoting a workforce without boundaries.
